Mission
The
staff of St. Paul the Apostle School believes that our school's purpose is to
offer a Christian education enabling all students to achieve increasing levels
of academic accomplishments with positive growth in social and emotional
well-being. We accept the responsibility by providing opportunities for all
students to reach their maximum educational potential through a challenging and
well-rounded curriculum and co-curricular activities.

Preparation
for the sacraments is a family responsibility.
So the parish family of parents, school and church gather together to
prepare the child for the reception of the sacraments. While religion is taught daily in the school
and children have frequent opportunities to attend weekday mass, sacramental
preparation is something special
As
a 2nd Grade student, parent and child are brought together in the fall to learn
about and prepare for the sacrament of Penance or Reconciliation. Several evening meetings are schedule for
parents to learn about how to ready the child for the sacrament. It culminates with a celebration of the
sacrament of reconciliation in November for the entire family.
In
the spring of 2nd Grade, children and parents gather for final preparation for
the sacrament of Holy Eucharist.
Once again, evening meetings are scheduled to acquaint student and
parents with the preparation process. A
special First Communion celebration is scheduled for early May.
Finally,
as your child enters the final year of grade school, the students begin
preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation. Preparation begins in January of the students 7th
grade year and includes a meeting with parents, volunteer service to the
community and confirmation as an 8th grade student.
